There is, I believe, a similar underground base someplace in central Mass.

More conductive to gaming really. :)

That would be awesome for LARPing. . .

My fortress of solitude is not for larping. It is for forming a post-apocalyptic enclave when society collapses. I want it for my house.

Where and is it for sale?

And here I thought your days of man-cave had come to a close! Hey, you can come up with $1,199,700,000 in the next three years. What's a little down-payment?

[identity profile] richenza.livejournal.com 2007-07-19 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, depending on how soon you expect apocalypse, you may not be paying the full amount after all.

Sort of begs the question: what does Nick know that we don't?

Oh, nothing... really...

Incidentally, do you ever respond to your email anymore? ;)

[identity profile] wsmith.livejournal.com 2007-07-19 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
This would not be a man cave. This would be a secret underground lair. A fortress of solitude. A sanctum sanctorum. You get the idea.

I want to buy it and turn it into a post-apocalyptic themed gay resort. Think 50's B-grade atomic horror meets Studio 54 and Barbarella at Sandals for a 4 star brunch.

It sounds lovely, but I think it would make a better industrial club. Then again, these themes can always be combined. I think it sounds lovely. Gather your investors.

Hmm I don't know. The power bill for pumping water out of the thing is probably pretty high :)

Then again, with 57 acres in the middle of nowhere, you could just setup a solar/wind farm.

Eesh. I just realized I started thinking about the logistics of operating it as a private property. Bad dog! :)
