The storm cometh.
Jan. 22nd, 2005 02:31 pmWe've been prepared for a blizzard. 12 - 20 inches of snow are to fall in Boston this evening. When there is the threat of large amounts of snow, I have a tendency to start picking the place in which I wish to be stranded. Being stuck at home is infinitely less entertaining than being snowed in with a groups of friends. I used to call time like these excellent opportunities for blizzard parties.
This time things are a bit different. I've made a committment to attend at least one evening of Arisia. On one hand, I'm certain it'll be great fun to be in a hotel rubbing shoulders with the creme de la creme of the dork nation. I'm certain they'll feel the same about me. Nonetheless, I'll miss the intimacy of a small group of friends settled into a cozy place with games, movies, conversation, hot beverages, and fluffy blankets.
Perhaps next storm.
